REGIONAL FIRST HOME OWNERS GRANT FOR NEWLY CONSTRUCTED HOMES
Great news for first home buyers! The Queensland Government has introduced a new $11,000 Regional First Home Owners Grant for newly constructed homes.
Commencing from 1 JUne 2010, the new Regional First Home Owners grant provides a $4,000 boost to the existing state funded $7,000 First Home Owners Grant. The new grant aims to boost construction jobs in Queensland's regional areas, encourage stronger regions and take population growth pressure off South East Queensland.
For the first time, the Queensland Government is providing a grant to encourage people to move to the regions and stay in the regions. It will help attract people to areas other than the south-east and entire local first home buyers to stay in their communities.
The image above shows a newly constructed home in Silkwood that is currently listed for $315,000. We also have a new home in South Mission Beach that is currently listed for $499,000.
