South Mission Beach

South Mission Beach has glorious views across to Dunk Island, Bedarra, the Family Group and the largest National Park Island in Australia, the mighty Hinchinbrook Island. Enjoy a relaxing laze on the beach or choose from a variety of water sports at the beach. Hire a boat and head over to Dunk Island, fish from the beach or hire a tinnie to explore the beaches on your own. 

Whether you’re on it, under it or looking across it, at South Mission Beach, it’s all about  water sports.   Kayak to Dunk Island, fish from the beach, hire a boat and explore, go jet skiing or dive through the coral of the Great Barrier Reef.

Boating enthusiasts South Mission Beach are serviced by two boat ramps.  A floating pontoon into the North Hull River and concrete boat ramp in the ocean at the southern end of South Mission Beach. 

There’s a sailing club, a Surf Lifesaving Club, a swimming enclosure and a family friendly caravan park with store/take-a-way.
