Tully & Hull Heads
Located between two rivers, the Tully River and the Hull River is this very popular low rise development area with good amenities and infrastructure to enjoy. There’s the Tully Heads Tavern with restaurant, a large caravan park, shop, fuel supplies and it’s all situated between two excellent boat ramps, one into the Tully River and the other, a large ramp with 3 bays, floating launching pontoon and separate vessel mooring pontoon. Tully’s Coastguard headquarters are based at the mouth of the Hull River.
It is a quiet village-type area with several hundred houses already established with several more estate developments planned for the nearby area. This future development is restricted and shall remain low key. The Tully Heads, Hull Heads region is flanked by the Hull River National Park, a haven for literally hundreds of aquatic bird life. If you are looking for a place in paradise, then this could be just what you are looking for.
This very popular, beachside, residential area is home to around 800 people. The area is a popular wintertime tourist location for southern visitors who flock here to enjoy the wonderful warm winters and to take advantage of the great fishing and crabbing that can be experienced in both the Rivers.
Of course you can go off shore and fish around the nearby Islands, or head out a little further and you can fish on and around the numerous reefs that you’ll discover around the beautiful tropical islands of the Family Group including Dunk Island and the mighty Hinchinbrook Island.
